For the month of February students explored Black History throughout the world celebrating a month-long study of Black individuals who have had an incredible impact on science, art, politics, medicine, economics and many other fields. From creating a 5th grade museum about change makers, inventors and scientists to a 4th grade wax museum outside, to our ECE students students exploring the story of Ruby Bridges, our students learned so much!
We were excited to be able to invite families to come outdoors, on a beautiful day to view our wax museum. It was great to “meet” and learn about so many famous and interesting change makers! The whole school participated in a culminating door-decorating contest- highlighting student learning from Black History Month, continuing the tradition from last year. The winners will received a pizza party!
