The fund was established to honor the memory of Caroline “Baby” Maxfield who died on July 30, 2013, at the age of three from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Although her time with us was far too brief, her impact was enormous. She loved gum, preschool, swimming, reading, hiding, mac and cheese, popsicles and music and had a special bond with animals. Caroline presence brightened the days of everyone who knew her. With a beautiful big smile, blonde curls and a giggle ten times bigger than her, she will be greatly missed. Every second of her life was happy, full, playful and pure. Caroline is survived by her parents, Emily Kreutz Maxfield and T.J. Maxfield, her big brother, Robby, and her big sister, Casey. Caroline’s father, grew up in Park Hill and her parents, grandparents and many of her six aunts, five uncles and twelve cousins still live in the Denver area. Many have visited Ashley School and all are active members of the community and supporters of public education.
