Zach Rahn is in his third year as Principal at Ashley Elementary School. A 2007 Teach For America Colorado Corps Member, Rahn taught 3rd and 4th grade in a bilingual classroom at Maria Mitchell Elementary School and Cole Arts & Science Academy in Denver, Colorado. After teaching, he went on to become the Assistant Principal at Cole for three years before beginning a fellowship through the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation that placed him at STRIVE Preparatory Schools. Following this residency, where he traveled the country to visit some of the nations top-performing schools, Rahn took the Principalship at Ashley.

Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Rahn majored in Political Science and Spanish at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Rahn graduated in 2009 from the University of Colorado-Denver with a MA in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Urban Leadership. He received his administrator’s license from the University of Denver and the Ritchie Program for School Leaders in 2010.

An avid runner and skier, Rahn enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family, friends and dog Wallis.
