I was born in Massachusetts and moved to Colorado from Asheville, North Carolina in 2012. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science from Warren Wilson College. Before moving to Denver and joining the Ashley team, I worked as a field biologist on a variety of wildlife research projects in Montana, Mississippi, Colorado, and Ecuador. I began working at Ashley in 2013 as a Denver Math Fellow, but last year I had the amazing opportunity to pursue my teaching license as a 4th grade Associate Educator. I am thrilled to be back this year as the Science Teacher.

I am looking forward to developing a new science special at Ashley that will reinforce what students are learning their classroom and provide more opportunities for hands-on learning. This program will focus on sustainability and environmental education. I am excited to integrate the Ashley Learning Garden and technology into this new special as well!
