CSAP
Unit of Student Assessment
The Unit of Student Assessment is committed to increasing student achievement by implementing higher standards through the assessment programs. The Unit of Student Assessment supports districts in the administration of three assessments: the Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) in grades 3-10, the Colorado ACT for students in grade 11, and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) in grades 4, 8, and 12.
Assessment, challenging Academic Standards, and school and district Accountability are the three pillars supporting Colorado's comprehensive school reform. Since the first CSAP tests were given to Colorado public school students in 1997 (two tests in at one grade level), the program has expanded to 31 tests given across eight grades.
