One Lonely Tree

One day C.J. was sitting by a house and five other trees were playing tree tag. C.J. walked over to see if he could play. One guy said, “No.” So C.J. waked away.

C.J. felt bad. He watched them play for hours. Raul said, “Do you want to play?”

C.J. said, “The other guy said I can’t.”

“That is right. I said he cannot,” said Steven.

“Then I won’t play,” Raul said.

Then all the trees left. Steven felt bad for what he said. He went over and said, “I apologize.”

“I accept,” said C.J.

C.J. asked Steven, “Do you want to play hide and go seek?”

Steven said, “Sure.”

After that they all came back and played until the sun went down. They all felt good.

C.J. felt good, too.
