Ms. Hunter’s Bio

Greetings to all,

            My name is Kimberly Hunter.  I was born in Denver, Colorado in 1970.  I have lived in the Denver metro area all my life.  I attended Ashley Elementary School, Hamilton Middle School, and George Washington High School and graduated in 1989.  In 1991, I started my college career.  I attended the Community College of Denver and Metropolitan State University, graduating in 1999. I completed my Master’s Degree in Reading and Writing in August of 2004. 

            I have been teaching for six years. All six years have been at Ashley teaching third grade.  It is ironic that I would be teaching at Ashley since it is also the school I attended during my elementary years.  

            I have one daughter named Alexis.  She is my pride and joy!  Some of the things I enjoy are spending time with my daughter, traveling and collecting snowglobes.  My favorite snowglobe is one I got from Disneyland called the Five Princess Snowglobes.  It has Snow White, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty.  I have over 30 snow globes from different states and countries.
