Do you want animals getting hurt? I bet you would not like animals getting hurt just because they do something wrong. If an animal does a trick wrong or does not want to do a trick, the zookeepers hurt the animal. Zoos take animals away from their homes just to do tricks for their food. Zookeepers make the animals entertain other people even if the animals do not want to.

My second reason we should not have zoos is because the zookeepers take animals away from their families to be put in small cages with no other animal to play with.

What if you were having fun playing with your friends and people just came and took you? Then put you in a small cage with no one else to play with. Would you feel happy? I bet you would not, you would feel sad and upset without your family.

This is how animals feel when they are taken away from their families and put in small cages.

My third and final reason we should not have zoos is because zookeepers don’t always know what kind of food the animals eat. Sometimes they give the animals the wrong type of food and the animals get sick. Sometimes the zookeepers do know what kind of food the animals eat, but they do not have that kind of food, so the zookeepers give the animals something else.

So do you want animals taken away from their homes to be abused, put in small cages with nobody to play with and given the wrong food so the animals get sick? I want you to think, should we really have zoos?
